THE ROLE OF A FACULTY ADVISOR
Fifteen (15) faculty members appointed by the Chancellor comprise the Board of
Faculty Advisors to the Honor Council. These individuals are vital to the Council's
procedures. A member of the Board of Faculty Advisers sits on all small and
large panel hearings. In a small panel hearing, the member plays an integral
part in determining penalty. At all large panel hearings, the member participates in the Council's
interviews of witnesses and exhaustive consideration of the evidence. At the year's
end, the Chair of the board of Faculty Advisors submits a report of the
Council's activities to the Faculty Senate.
