New Listserv Request

Please note: Your organization must be registered for the current academic year to request new listservs.  Refer to the main Student Organization page for information on registering or re-registering your group.

Listservs enable organizations to send email to the organization as a whole or to specific groups within the organization. They can be set to allow open discussion between members or moderated for use as a one-way communication. The subscribers can be controlled by the list owners or set to allow anyone to join.

Note: Listserv names can only contain lowercase letters, numbers, dashes ("-"), and underscores ("_").

VUnetIDs of the people who are able to administer the list settings and maintain the subscriber list. This is usually just one or two users.

Will the list be an open-subscription list?

Will the list be a moderated list?

 Yes No

If the list is moderated, please list the vunetids of the individuals who are authorized to send to the listserv without moderation. These are often the officers of the organization, but can be just one person.

If the list is moderated, please list the vunetids of the individuals who will review email submitted by anyone not approved to send. This is often just one person, but the responsibility can be shared.
