About the Downtown YMCA

Run, bike, swim, lift, stretch, pose, relax or network at the Downtown Y. There is something for everyone. The Downtown Y has always been a cornerstone of the community. Following a $20 million expansion and two years under construction, the Y has a renewed energy to inspire healthy living for everyone. Join us for the July mixer as we celebrate health and well-being at the Downtown YMCA and Team Green’s 13th birthday.

Parking and enter through the Downtown Y lower entrance where you’ll receive a map of the Y and walking directions to The Standard. Along your journey, you will visit 4 areas where you will learn more about the YMCA and receive your tickets for the giveaways. The more tickets you have, the greater your chances of winning!

After the Downtown Y tour, the celebration continues at The Standard Restaurant, just 2 blocks from the Y. You will need your “map” for entry into The Standard Restaurant and and Y tickets for entries into the drawings. Bacchanalian Society of Nashville Event at Adventure Science Center

August 6, 2009 (Thu)
7:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Location:
Adventure Science Center
800 Fort Negley Blvd
Nashville, Tennessee 37203

EVENT DETAILS:

Designated Wine: South American Reds

Bacchanalian Society events draw regular crowds of over 600 people, so don’t miss one of Nashville’s best events. In the words of the co-founders, “it’s a relaxed, social, blind wine tasting with a twist.” The twist is some of you will take home a lot of wine. So, whether you are a wine connoisseur or drink wine from a box, grab some friends and come out for a guaranteed good time.

Each team may consist of 1-3 people and is responsible for 3 bottles of the same wine. You team’s 3 bottles must fit within the designated wine category (listed above). When you arrive, two of your team’s bottles will be opened, numbered, covered and set out to taste. The third bottle will be set aside for the winning stash. At the end of the night, everybody votes for their favorite (and least favorite) wine. The winning teams take home all of the unopened bottles. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit the sponsor organization.
