The Independent Rifles are hosting a moving Living History in Franklin Tennessee. This event is set up as a mobile living history and while it will not be totally devoid of modern intrusions, it will be very heavy with historical discussions from local historians, our fellow reenactors and the chance to view original items from the Battle of Franklin.

April 15-April 17, 2010

Rivers and Spires Festival is a three day outdoor event in Historic Downtown Clarksville. It features a night of patriotic tribute to military heroes, five stages of entertainment, an International Streetfest, Kidz Zone, Jazz ‘N Wine area, marketplace, car shows, parades, and more. Last year, an estimated 30,000 enjoyed the music, great outdoors, food and people watching. See entertainment by Charlie Daniels Band, Jimmy Hall & The Prisoners of Love, The Texas Tenors, and more. Check out the full lineup.
The festival started in 2003 as a tribute to the returning soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). Since then, it has continued to follow this heritage, with special tributes for the many soldiers from nearby Fort Campbell deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Rivers and Spires Festival is produced by the Clarksville-Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
