Individual Departments
Each department has a Director of Graduate Studies who serves as a general advisor and liaison between departmental administration and graduate students. The DGS receives announcements from the department, the Graduate School, and the Graduate Student Council for distribution. In addition, the DGS mediates problems between students and faculty should a grievance arise which cannot be settled personally.
