Watermelon Bust
Each year in the Fall, Lambda Chi Alpha
holds its signature philanthropy event, Watermelon Bust. The Vanderbilt sororities
are invited to compete in a number of activities to earn points for their
houses. Events that continue throughout the week include a penny drop, food
drive, and blood drive. A house decorating contest, a mocktails competition,
and field events constitute the major events from Tuesday through Friday.
The overall winning sorority is announced at a party at the Lambda Chi house
on Saturday night.
