Vir Quisque Vir: Every Man a Man
A Letter from the Rush Chair

To the Men of the Class of 2012,

I would like to congratulate you on your selection of Vanderbilt. I can assure you that you have made an excellent choice, and that you will enjoy your next four years here. As you will find even in your first few days here in Nashville, you will be presented with many opportunities and decisions in every aspect of your life. From academics and athletics to social events and organizations, there is much with which to involve yourself here at Vanderbilt. One of these opportunities is to join a fraternity, which can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.

Though the prospect of "Going Greek" may seem to be an all-or-nothing ordeal, the system at Vanderbilt provides you with an opportunity to investigate the fraternity scene before you commit. At Lambda Chi, there are lots of opportunities for you to get to know the brothers, see how we operate, and see the benefits of joining our Brotherhood. As you will soon find, Lambda Chi is not like other fraternities. Our emphases on brotherhood and decency set us apart from the rest, but you will see that as you get to know us.

From our tailgates and philanthropic benefits in the fall to our formal in Panama City in the spring and everything in between, the brothers of Lambda Chi are sure to be healthfully enjoying themselves in any setting. Again, I encourage you to come spend some time with us this year.

I'd like to finally wish you good luck with your collegiate studies, and hope that you will have a wonderful year. I am confident that you will find your niche within the Vanderbilt Community, be it Diwali or Crew, Greek or Independent. I can assure you, though, if you take an interest in Lambda Chi, you'll find that while some friends will come and go, brothers are forever.

Here's to a great year!
