Vanderbilt University Model United Nations Conference [VUMUN] is hosted on the campus of Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN. Each fall Vanderbilt Model UN welcomes high school students from across the Eastern United States for a weekend of debate and diplomacy.

This fall VUMUN will continue its tradition of offering committees on various topics which are currently being discussed by the United Nations.  These committees are designed to provide an engaging atmosphere where the delegates can further their knowledge of international diplomacy through the debate of international issues in a supportive yet competitive atmosphere.  Within these committees delegates will learn that it is not always easy to draft resolutions even on the simplest of topics.  Delegates will be able to further develop the skills necessary to work within a group and build consensus on a topic among varying points of view.

VUMUN will also continue to offer a range of higher level crisis committees dedicated to furthering the leadership and debating skills of the participating delegates.  Within these committees delegates will be immersed into interactive simulations designed to foster group problem solving and crisis management.  Delegates will be faced with very real challenges similar to those which our national leaders face today and have faced throughout history.

VUMUN’s wide array of committees will be able to pose a new and interesting challenge to every delegate, no matter how much experience they have.  Please explore our website and check back for updates as we work to bring VUMUN VII to fruition.  If you have any questions please email USG of External Affairs, Sonia Ajmera
