The Organization of Black Graduate and Professional Students (OBGAPS) hereby dedicates itself to enhancing the experience of Black graduate and professional students at Vanderbilt University in order to advance the scholarly activities of the Black graduate students and ensure their matriculation from Vanderbilt OBGAPS strives to facilitate a positive experience for students across the spectrum of the graduate experience which includes facilitating the transition into post baccalaureate programs as well as providing academic and professional support, opportunities for social networking and cultural exchanges, and service opportunities for its membership.
