- Resolution 11-12-23: Regarding the Number of Signatures on Campus Wide Petitions

- Same goals as what was voted down last week
- Have our minds really changed?
- Goes against amendment from last year that required experience for eligibility

- Re-wrote this after listening to what concerns were last week
- Changed so only the student body president is a campus-wide election—this is different from years past, and should reflect the number of signatures
- Worked to compromise with what was said last week
- Chairman is outside of VSG, so not usurpation of political power
- 500 signatures is minute, not a large number

- Agree that getting signatures is test of dedication
- However, should not be cut off point for anyone’s candidacy
