The Holocaust, Through His Eyes:
Vanderbilt Holocaust Lecture Series, Vanderbilt Hillel, and the Tennessee Holocaust Commission are proud to bring Jimmy Gentry to campus to share his heart wrenching story of being a US soldier in WWII and liberating the Dachau Concentration Camp in Europe following the end of the war.
Where: The upstairs conference room of the Ben Schulman Center (above Grins cafe)
When: 4pm, Friday, February 10th – All attendees are welcome to Hillel Shabbat services and dinner following the event.
“Off in the distance I saw boxcars lined up with hundreds of dead bodies inside. They looked starved and tortured. I asked another soldier, ‘Who are these people?’ He said, ‘They are Jews.’“
