- Motion to suspend rules to allow voting on resolution
- Any more technical questions
- Speaker Tan: What was the total number of applicants for this position?
- Four
- Speaker Tan: What were the qualifications?
- There are many, and there was an ensuing debate for about an hour and a half
- Written application and interview process as well as the tasks that the individual has completed for the organization in the past as well as other organizations
- Speaker Tan: Will we be able to ask the elect questions?
- No; this runs very differently from the Speaker election… would break from precedence and not be what the constitution prescribes
- Speaker Tan: What was the total number of applicants for this position?
- Senate: None
- Technical Questions:
- Debate:
- Senate: None
- House
- Would like to know what the candidate is like, do not know much about him…
- Speaker Neely: Synopsis of what candidate has done for organization in past, and had great answers and explanations of the role during the interview, has experience in Cabinet as Deputy Chief of Staff—we felt, as a consensus choice, that he was the best choice
- Speaker Tan: He served as Deputy Chief of Staff last year, but he also served on the campaign team of Maryclaire and Mark
- Maryclaire: Yes, he did, but his competency to serve as Chief of Staff did not come from his campaign role but rather from his plans and ideas for the organization. What he did as a campaign team member is completely irrelevant from his competency as Chief of Staff
- Speaker Moore: I would like to point out that more than one applicant for Chief of Staff endorsed Maryclaire and Mark
- Would like to know what the candidate is like, do not know much about him…
