Portable Card Reader

In a partnership with the Commodore Card Office and the Sarratt Box Office, VSG is proud to announce the arrival of the Mobile Micros System. With this program, student organizations will be able to rent a mobile card reader to use and sell tickets on the wall with the Commodore Card as an acceptable method of payment.

These changes are a direct result of suggestions and/or issues related to the use of the machine by student organizations.

Groups are required to have tickets on sale with the Sarratt Box Office in order to use the equipment. An Event Setup Agreement must be on file with the Box Office Manager. The card readers can only be used for events ticketed by the Sarratt Box Office. They cannot be used to sell t-shirts, candy, food, or other items.

  • Mobile Micros Unit can be used once free of charge with the set-up of tickets through the Box Office.  Mobile Micros Unit may be used additional days at a rate of $10 per day.
  • Additional days may be scheduled by contacting the Box Office Manager no more than 48 hours in advance and no less than 12 hours in advance of this additional use.  To promote equitable use of the equipment among student organizations, additional days are reserved on a first come first serve basis and with the discretion of the Box Office Manager (bryan.masters@vanderbilt.edu)
