The Zipcar Program is a convenient and low-cost car rental service brought to campus by Vanderbilt Student Government as alternative means of transportation for students without cars. This service makes it much easier for on-the-go students to have access to transportation whenever they need it to run errands or venture into Nashville. The program includes an annual sign-up fee of $35 with hourly rental rate ranging from $7 to $10 an hour depending on the type of car.  Costs of gas and insurance are included in the price of the program.

Vanderbilt's campus features two Honda Civic hybrids, two Honda CR-Vs, and one Volvo S40 located conveniently around campus at the Commons (Lot 84), in front of Sarratt Student Center (Lot 15), and in Kissam Quad near Mims (Lot 5).

Zipcars can be reserved online or over the phone and members may reserve vehicles weeks in advance or up to the minute prior to use depending on availablility.
