The team has now completed its second, and most important, competition for the year which was held at the Michigan International Speedway. We are proud to report that we finished 26th out of over 120 registered teams. The team is very excited about these results and is already looking forward to making improvements for next year.

The Vanderbilt Motorsports team has just returned from our first of two competitions this year. This first competition held at the Virginia International Raceway offered the team a great test run for the new car and new members before the bigger competition in three weeks in Michigan. It was a challenge to get the car done early this year, but we managed to be one of the 21 (out of 40 registered teams) that made it to competition. We are very proud of our accomplishments in the static events after placing 9th in design, 3rd in cost, and 1st in business! Check out pictures from VIR in our Media section.

Vanderbilt Motorsports is very excited to announce that we will be featured in the prerace show on ESPN before the NASCAR Nationwide race on April 11th. ESPN will interview the team in the shop before the race and will then check in with us while we are hanging out with our friends at Braun racing in their pits. So be sure to tune in to ESPN at 2 pm central on the 11th!
