Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee

Lectures

WilSkills lectures are held each Wednesday of the semester at 7:00pm in Garland 101. Lectures generally last between an hour and an hour and a half. Lectures are given by WilSkills instructors as well as by a variety of guests such as Vanderbilt faculty and local alumni. In recent semesters, guest faculty has included Professors and Graduate Students from the Geology, Biology, English, and Philosophy departments. Local Vanderbilt alumni ranging from Southeastern caving experts to international mountaineers who have spent time in the Himalayas also frequently share their knowledge, experiences, and inspiration with WilSkills students at lectures. A tentative lecture schedule for the current semester is below. Lecture dates and times will not change, however, locations and topics may be modified during the course of the semester. Guests are welcome to attend any WilSkills lecture, and WilSkills students are specifically encouraged to bring interested friends when there are guest lecturers.
